That sounds like a good solution. Or at least a start of one. ( since what they really need is to find a way to get out of here. but a census would be a first step toward pooling resources and that, well. one step after the other. )
Not really. They're not very talkative, at least when it comes to the ones who've been here for longer. And of the ones who haven't, no one can figure out how to plot a course out of here because no one knows where we are.
